 User Experience

Ensuring your web presence aligns with customer needs.

A website ‘works’ only if its users judge that it does, and those users seldom give poor sites a second chance. Products that match user needs and expectations are ‘usable’ - and they’re successful in the marketplace. This is the core of the ‘usability perspective’: design that makes your customers’ needs the number one priority.

You can save time and money - and build customer goodwill – by determining your customers’ actual needs; and ensuring that your website design supports them. It’s not enough that it simply meets your requirements - or those of your web designers. The real way to judge the success of your site is how well it meets the needs of your customers.

A User Experience Assessment will be:

  • more timely and affordable than lab-based usability testing
  • able to deliver targeted user input quickly
  • backed up with an evaluation by our ID consultant.

Turnaround for a UEA is no more than ten working days.

The Process

  1. Interview – A face-to-face, phone or email Q&A with the client to establish key site owner goals and concerns.
  2. Evaluation – an appraisal by our ID consultant to measure the site against established user design principles.
  3. Consultation – up to three consultant-observed user sessions to identify user concerns.
  4. Report – summary of findings with practical recommendations for improvement.

Whose experience should we assess?

Your customers are your website users - and web users rule.

Why should you assess user experience?

Wired’s UEA is an affordable way to get timely and specific data on how your website matches the expectations of your customers. Redesigning your site after a UEA will ensure that your development budget is spent on what really needs fixing – remedying the features your customers don’t need, don’t use, or simply don’t understand.

How do we assess user experience?

The Wired Internet Group User Experience Assessment (UEA) is a four stage process managed by our Information Design (ID) consultant:
