The New Zealand Avalanche Centre provides 'Backcountry Avalanche Advisory' as a public service. Avalanche forecasting is an undertaking which requires extensive study and field observations, and this site is fed data via Powder Cloud from seven regional avalanche forecasters working around NZ.
